Alpha Chi Omega was founded on October 15, 1885, at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, by seven collegiate women who envisioned a sisterhood rooted in friendship, leadership, and service. The Delta Pi chapter was founded at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1961, continuing Alpha Chi Omega’s commitment to empowering women and fostering meaningful connections within the university community.
